To become a Commercial Airliner Pilot you need to have/possess a Commercial Pilot's Licence with multi-engine endorsement? 

Class 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized Central/State Board.

NOTE:
ARTS/COMMERCE background students with 10+2 qualification from a recognized Central/State Board are also eligible and can join the course provided they have to pass only the two exams i.e. Physics & Maths of 10+2 Science stream as a isolated subject during the GROUND SCHOOL duration or before the date of filing of application for appearing the CPL written examination.

DIPLOMA IN ENGINEERING background students from a recognized Central/State Board/University are also eligible and can join the GROUND SCHOOL training course provided they get the Equivalency Certificate during the GROUND SCHOOL duration or before the date of filing of application for appearing the CPL written examination.

Yes. You need to be medically fit and should possess a Class-I medical certificate issued by the appropriate Civil Aviation Authority of that country to be a Commercial Airliner Pilot. You need to undergo CLASS-I medical examination. You need a Class-I medical certificate to get the Indian DGCA Commercial Pilot's Licence.

To get the Indian DGCA or any other foreign country Commercial Pilot's Licence you have to be atleast 18 years of age on the date of application for the issue of CPL.

There is no maximum age limit to get the Indian DGCA or Foreign Country Commercial Pilot's Licence. You just need to be medically fit and should be in possession of Class-I medical certificate issued by the appropriate Civil Aviation Authority of that country.

You can join any Airliner in two ways:
1) After getting your Indian DGCA CPL with multi-engine endorsement you join as a Trainee First Officer after clearing the Airlines entrance exam/test based on the CPL syllabus.
2) You can join any Airline as a Trainee Pilot if you are already Type Rated with i.e. Airbus A320/Boeing B737NG/ATR 72-600/Bombardier Q400 aircraft type endorsement on your Indian CPL after clearing the entrance exam/test and Sim Test.

You join the Airliner as a Trainee First Officer if non-Type Rated CPL holder and Trainee Pilot if Type Rated.

Airline will provide you Type Rating training for the specific aircraft they have i.e. Airbus A320/Boeing B737NG/ATR 72-600/Bombardier Q400 and will deduct the Type Rating cost from your salary and after you successfully completing the Type Rating training your Indian Commercial Pilot's Licence will be endorsed and then after you are released as First Officer after completion of post Type Rating training conducted by the Airline. NB: Time taken from selection till release as First Officer ranges between 6-12 months. Till the release period as First Officer, Pilot are paid stipend ranges between 25K-150K> depending upon the Airline you joining.

Yes. Commercial Pilot with Airliner Type Rating endorsement preferred over Pilot with just multi-engine CPL.

Yes, you are on the edge. Airlines prefer Type Rated endorsed Pilots. Type Rated Pilots have easy entrance test and your success is very high. Type Rated Pilots get released very fast as First Officer and starts earning fast. Type Rated Pilots are released as First Officer somewhere between 2-4 months depending upon the Airlines you joining.

It is most preferred because Airlines come up with more Type Rated Pilots requirements throughout the year.

Maximum age to get in an Airline if you are Airliner Type Rated Pilot with zero time is anywhere between 37-40 years of age. Age criteria are relaxed as per the Airlines requirements.

A First Officer earns somewhere between 2-3 lakhs per month for the minimum of 60-70 hours of Flight Duty Time. A First Officer is paid between 3K-5K per hour extra if he is call for duty beyond the stipulated minimum Flight Duty Time of 60-70 hours. You cannot fly more then 125 hours of maximum flight duty time which is the maximum in a months period as per the FDTL prescribed by the DGCA, India. 

1) You need a minimum of 2000-3000 Flying Hours as a First Officer depending upon individual Airlines criteria to get released as a Captain/Commander.
2) You should be in possession of Airline Transport Pilots Licence/ATPL issued by DGCA, India.

The salary and incentives get double if you are Commander/Captain. 

India alone requires 15K-17K Pilots in a coming 5-7 years (2019>). Asia alone requires more then 1 lakh Pilot for the next 10 years. After getting your Indian DGCA CPL and if you Type Rated you are eligible to apply anywhere in the world. Pilots licence are valid worldwide.
NB: Pilot after gaining experience in Airlines in India as First Officer/Captain move to foreign Airlines worldwide were they are paid around 8-10 lakhs > per month as a First Officer and a Captain gets paid more then 10 lakhs per month.

Banks provide Educational Loan for Commercial Pilot's Licence course. Loan repayment after the moratorium period of 2 years or job, whichever is earlier.

Your average salary if we consider 3 lakhs per month you can repay the whole loan amount within a span of one and half year period.
